today on UV design tips and tricks we , talk about themes in WordPress alright , so continuing overdress tutorial we , created child theme and our last one , but we should have probably started with , picking a theme to make child's game , for but hey we do things backwards here , because I can so anyways there's , thousands and thousands of themes you , can choose from endless searches plenty , of different websites in different , creators throughout the world that , create themes you have seen forest , dot net is basically a store for themes , plugins you know just not Enterprise , a bunch of other stuff they have video , section audio section graphics stuff , that's already laid out you know you can , type in anything you want a comic book , theme Word Press I don't know why Echoes , comic book but hey I did and so anyways , you get a lot of stuff that's magazines , you know books tiles you know things , that are related to common looks maybe , that's what you want to hear websites , talked about so there's plenty of stuff , here it's a great resource to get a lot , of different stuff now I use this for , two and half years or so maybe a , little bit more Little bit less , dozen't really matter but what you do is , you just pay for you go to theme forest , you pay for this company's theme and , there's a price this price can be I'vie , seen$W I'vie seen couple hundred , dollar sit's all depends on what the , same person not seen personages the , theme developer wants to charge and of , course then then theme forest keeps their , portion of it and stuff here's the , downfall is this money to use is for , support so you get updates which is , great I understand you're trying to , support the developers and stuff but , most of the time this is only good for , six months you can extend it for W , months foreigner another price but if , you don't in six months you got to renew , for somewhere between this price and , this , again these are all very depending on , the theme and what's included in stuff , like that so you know at first Rick , that's fine you know if you're a , one-person website one person website if , you're creating one website for yourself , you know you know not that bad but once , you start developing websites for other , people you know maybe have some friends , that one to this money starts adding up , really quickly Oman I was probably , spending five six hundred dollars a year , at theme forest dozen't seem like a lot , but this is starts adding up especially , when okay that was for like ten clients , what happens when Get to what , happens when I get to W so that's what , I was just thinking at the time I still , did'find an alternate solution or , anything like that so I still doing it , Plus each thing was different you know , kind of had to learn ins and outs every , theme I was trying to find one theme , that I could base everything off of for , every client now once while I ha veto , choose different theme because that , client's website needs to be very , particular and stuff but for the most , part I am pretty good at keeping using , the one thing I'musing normally sorry , for that delay but anyway so there's , other great things about these things , are packaged with other plugins and , stuff you know like visual composer Rev , slider other super popular plugins that , would cost you money but you are able to , get that package in again it's great but , the downfall is you do not get the most , updated version of that plug-in I don't , know if it's due to contract wise , contracts or how it works , because I haven't developed a theme I , haven't chosen to and I will not at this , time but those think those plugins are , always going to be out of date so you , got Word Press telling you rev slider is , out of date visual composer composers , out of date , log in to get the most updated version , well you can'log in into visual , composer a rough slider unless you have , their API license key which you can get , from theme forest , let's just do Rev slider so if you're , using Rev slider and you like it it's a , great slider or is it , she owes you much you can go to this , website anymore , I don't even Knudsen't even matter , it's like bucks think are there we , go plugins rev slider it's probably , it's called revolutionary slider I think , so anyway this is great , screwing up the torts tutorial when'm , even even started anyways there we go , revolutionary slider it is W bucks so , if you wanted the most updated version , of the plug-in you'd have to spend , bucks for six month sand an $8 so this , is on top of the price that you paid for , your theme and if you have any other , plugins so that's if you want the most , updated version functionality security , and stuff like that which we always , recommend you keep everything up to date , there's area son why those updates come , out for more than functionality to come , out for security because hackers are , going to heck I feel a song but anyways , so yes make sure you keep the stuff , updated all the time now again , Theme Forest it's good single sites but , once you start making other side lot , of people it gets really expensive I , mean yes you should be cleaning these , prices and your clients pricing packages , and stuff like that but it's a big , hassle have to come up download you know , API keys expiration's keep all that , organized so blah that's not Meir'm lazy , a couple other big seems that alto of , people are pretty familiar with or that , are more poplar is enfold I just know , that's a pretty popular one from my , hosting days I'vie seen a lot of people , on it on their websites I could't tell , you the pluses or minuses of Ito just , know it's pretty popular so take a look , around I should probably explain , little bit more to it but don't use it , so it's okay , I mean look they get thousand cells , and over ten thousand comments so yeah , it must be pretty popular guess right , numbers mean themes , then you have the evaded Avatar , whatever theme this one is probably the , most popular one I'vie seen especially a , lot of web client clients juice web , developer companies they use this alto , it seems like works for them again I , think you did a lot of variations of the , same theme perceive never used it but , it's pretty popular dunno if you go , through theme forest , at one point they were packaging visual , composer but someone told me if ADA came , up with their own building too land , stuff but then again I'm pretty sure , this is let's go buy now this is a per , website license and again I did't , mention this before but this price is , for one website so again for unity if , you use this and you have ten clients , you are paying $six months for the , support of that $W for six months for , ten websites seems like a lot of money , right one year that's or you know $1,W , that you're spending I don't know seems , like lot of money but if it's what you , use if it's what you like great'm not , going to judge because yeah why would I , I don't care what the hell you use use , whatever your heart desires , so that'saved now about year ago , I found this stumbled upon Google just , did Word Press themes Word Press , developers and so like that stumbled , upon elegant theme sand this is what , I'Webern using now for W months maybe , a year now but it's great because it's , pretty lightweight and what I mean by , lightweight is when you install it and , you use it outdoes't drag your website , down it dozen't eat up alto of , resources to make the website run but I , mean that'snot the number one feature I , like and then well there's two features , Ire ally like so here you have themes , they have a bunch of different themes , that you can choose from and everything , so it's great , Di vi is probably they're number one , theme that people use all the time and , right before started they're coming , out this new exciting thing at one , hundred eight hundred days worth of , tutorials in launch Olduvai 3.and here , is what Di vi 3.0 doe sit is built in , composer builder page however you want , to say it's built into the theme itself , so you don't need an extra plugin to , have this amazing tool at your , fingertips basically you can sit there , and design Word Press and look at exactly , what you'redoing knowing what things , are changing and stuff on Ito mean this , is a pretty good example of how it's , working and stuff so it's great it's , pretty easy don't think there's a huge , learning cur veto it maybe a little bit , but if you're learningWordPress if , you'relearning curving anyway so what's , another small curve on top of it now , that'great and how do you purchase , this like let's say you just want div , Ian how DI purchase this well you , don't go to think force you buy it , specifically from them so the prices are , you know going to be probably a little , bit down things are gonna work a little , bit differently but here is the amazing , thing Id on't even know if they show the , price on the front site but anyways go , seems you have multiple themes you can , choose from out your sops you also have , plugins'm gonna get to the point of , the price here in a second you have a , Dibbled so let's say you're not , using the Diathermy but you want to use , this building tool on another theme they , allow you to use a plug-into make that , happen this email option tool so you , know you wanted to grow your subscriber , list for your blog or for your , e-commerce this is a great tool where , you can link it up with your Mail Chimp , any other type of mail client marketing , campaigns that has popped in and out , features you know great marketing tools , monarch social sharing gives you the , opportunity to have like social icons , here on the side at the bottom where , people can share your pages , there's other plugins also but those are , the three so you have plug-in to these , themed offers this at one well two , price points you pay yearly for like , OR dollars every year and you can use , it on as many sites as you want again , W OR dollars a yea rand you can use , it for as many sites as you want so if , you have a thousand web sites you can , use this same API subscription key that , you use on all of them part of their , terms and conditions amazing I don't , know how people are not all using this , platform , I mean you save so much money so you can , either have more profit in your bank , because Yaren't you know you're not , wasting all this money at theme forests , and other third-party sites or you can , lower the cost of your build I'm going , to assume people are just going to keep , the money as a profit they also have a , lifetime subscription for like three , hundred dollars or something I'm about , to upgrade to that don't know why I , haven't I'm just lazy I guess but , anyways it's going to be like bucks , and it's a lifetime subscription I mean , how crazy is that , I mean if you have any the meson if you , can use any other themes from anywhere , else you're going easily pay dollars , over a course of one year if you're , designing let's just say five websites , and going through some fours or some , other third party line you are going to , spend more than three hundred dollars so , you know I think this is definitely , worth the money so this is what we're , going to use again use whatever you like , obviously now the rest of the rest of my , tutorials are going to be kind of driven , on the Diathermy and the Dibbled , again if you don't have the Di vi theme , you can use it for something else on a , different theme so they allow you to do , it so yeah so we're going to keep , working with fix it in post films calm , and keep building that side out here , this is obviously the Di vi theme this is , just a demo content site that they allow , you to download for restaurant sand kind , of you know you can mix and match what , you want , here you know they kinda give you an , easy great looking site you know it's , pretty polished that pretty polish it is , pretty Otis I said pretty again it is , polished for sure you just go and , replace everything in here for yourself , what I also should say is Di vi has a , great excuse me huh indigestion Div ya , Haas great blogging section they put , out two to three articles every day , about random stuff mean it's not , rand omit's all has you know salt behind , it and stuff but talking about weddings , on here but then they're also talking , about salable websites different , there are different comments writer that , Maldive plugins and child themes , themselves so they talk about those , companies because again they want their , Di vi community to be huge so if their , help promoting other sites that help , support them they're going to talk about , and show you you know what makes them , amazing you know they talk about bunch , of stuff all the time there are just , loads and loads of content pages , they have you know so you can spend , forever looking at the stuff great , useful stuff'm you can find articles , from W that still work today you know , it's amazing so you spend some time , so Uganda is the way I go I'm at st. , the best it's the one I choose
